Strict anti-epidemic measures are taken for the timely completion of under construction projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), China State Grid. One such project is the Matiari to Lahore Power Transmission Line project, with an expected completion date of March 2021. Work on this project is in full swing. In a current situation when the Covid-19 epidemic is spreading in Pakistan, the pace of the project is in danger of being severely affected.
The Matiari Lahore Power Transmission Line is the only power transmission project in the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Pakistan. Its total length is 886 km. Wang Bo, deputy general manager of the third division of the State Grid, China Electric Power Technology Company and deputy chief executive officer of the transmission line project, said,”strict measures have been taken on the project since January 26 to make sure the health of Pakistani workers working on the project”, anti-epidemic precautions are translated and distributed in English and Urdu.
